OUT-SOURCING, TEMPORARY STAFF & LOCUMS

Do you sometimes require the services of a marine operations specialist in your business, but don’t have enough work to keep one employed full time?

Or are you going through an abnormally busy period, but don’t want to augment your permanent staff in case it doesn’t last?

Or has one of your key marine operations staff suddenly fallen ill or quit, leaving you short-handed in the middle of a busy period?

Or is a staff-member overdue for leave, but you can’t spare him.

Or has the captain or a senior officer of one of your ships suddenly had to be repatriated because of illness or a family emergency, and you have no one available to relieve him?

Or do you have a new project that you would like to pursue, but don’t have the staff to handle it?

Or a project that you don’t yet want your employees to know about?

These scenarios, and many other similar ones, crop up occasionally in the marine operations business. In these situations, the simplest solution is to hire-in an extra staff member on a temporary basis.

If you are in such a situation, why not give us a call? We may be able to help you.

Our proprietor, Capt. Herman, has worked for over 40 years in the maritime industry, ashore and afloat. He has worked on a variety of vessels and in a variety of positions ashore. He is versatile and a quick learner. Unless he has prior commitments, he can come in at very short notice, and assist you for any period, ranging from a few days to a few months, full time or part time.

Even when he is not personally available, Capt. Herman has contact with a number of other Master Mariners and Marine Engineers, some of them retired or semi-retired with many years of experience, who keep their qualifications up to date and are available at short notice.
